Viraam
Weeds & herbs compete with crop for not only nutrition but even the most essential thing: Sunlight.
One of the most efficient way of inhibiting growth of weeds in Rice is to use pre-emergence herbicides.
Viraam is a broad spectrum pre-emergence and early post-emergence herbicide for Rice that helps control weeds. It address the problem of broad leaved weeds and sedges. It’s low dosage makes it economical and being safe for useful micro-organisms makes it environmentally friendly. It's non-oil based formula keeps the soil soft and moist.
Pack sizes: 20gm & 80gm.
Broad Spectrum, Systemic herbicide with low dosage. It inhibits formulation of Acetolactate Synthase (ALS) in weeds which is essential for synthesis of amino acids. Therefore, stops cell division of roots ultimately killing the weed.
Recommendation:
Apply Viraam as pre-emergent in Direct Seeded and Transplanted paddy. Flood the field at the time of or immediately after application; keep the field flooded to get best results.
Dosage: 80gm per acre.

Super Magic
Weeds & herbs are plants that grow or reproduce aggressively becoming invasive in the field. Volunteer crops are also regarded as weeds in a subsequent crop as they can greatly impact the upcoming crop’s yield. In such cases, non selective herbicides are preferred to prepare the field for upcoming crop.
Super Magic is a non-selective post-emergence herbicide for annual perennial, broad leaf and grassy weeds. It’s translocation action ensures that process of knock down of weed reaches the roots. It is especially effective against the difficult to control weeds.
Pack sizes: 100gm, 500gm & 1kg.
Non-selective, systemic herbicide of Organophosphorus group.
Upon reaching all area, it inhibits formulation of an essential plant enzyme called ESPS (5-Enolpyruvyl – Shikimate -3 – phosphate Synthase). Inhibition of this enzyme prevents the production of aromatic amino acids required for protein synthesis within the plant. Lack of the protein synthesis results the death of treated weed/plants. This process generally takes 7 to 12 days from start to finish.
Hence, Super Magic destroys the weed from its leaf till the root system.
Recommendation:
Apart from annual and perennial weeds, Super Magic is also recommended for aquatic weeds due to its efficiency.
When weeds are at least 4 to 8 leaf stage.
Dosage: 1200gm per acre.
*Always refer to the SDS for detailed information on safety.

Kick-it
Weeds are defined as plants that reproduce quickly, disperse widely, live in a variety of habitats, establish a population in strange places, succeed in disturbed ecosystems and resist eradication once established. Weeds are defined via context for example development of earlier crop in a new crop cycle makes the earlier desired crop a weed. One may need to clear the field for preparation of new crop and hence require herbicides which kill non-selectively.
Kick-it is a new age, highly concentrated non-selective post-emergence herbicide. It is used for killing annual perennial, broad leaf and grassy weeds. It’s small but potent dose can clear a field in 7-12 days. It is especially effective against the difficult to control weeds.
Pack sizes: 250ml, 500ml & 1ltr.
Non-selective, systemic low dosage herbicide of Glyphosate formulation with IPA salt. Upon reaching all areas, it inhibits formulation of an essential plant enzyme called ESPS which prevents the production of aromatic amino acids is required for protein synthesis within the plant. Lack of protein synthesis results the death of the weed/plants. This process generally takes 7 to 12 days from start to finish.
Recommendation:
It does not affect the germination of ensuing crops and any crop can be grown after its application. Misting is recommended for better absorption.
When weeds are at least 4 to 8 leaf stage.
Dosage: 1.35 ltr per acre.
*Always refer to the SDS for detailed information on safety.

Swiss All-Clear
Weed control is a highly developed field of knowledge. Weed control methods vary according to the growth habit of the weeds in question and context. Weeds refer to development of any undesired plant in a field dedicated to a particular desired crop. In order to clear a field in preparation of new crop non selective herbicides are generally preferred.
Swiss All-Clear off is a well known non-selective post-emergence herbicide. It is used for killing both annual and perennial weeds. It has been used effectively against difficult to control weeds especially. It formula clears-off the weed from foliage to the roots.
Pack sizes: 250ml, 500ml, 1ltr & 5ltr.
Non-selective, systemic herbicide of Organophosphorus (Glycine and phosphonales) group. Upon reaching all areas, it inhibits formulation of ESPS hence inhibition production of amino acids required for protein synthesis within the plant. Lack of protein synthesis results in the death of the weed/plant. This process generally takes 7 to 12 days from start to finish.
Recommendation:
Since it does not affect the germination of ensuing crops and any crop can be grown after its application, it is hence greatly used in non-crop area to eliminate unwanted plants. It is also recommended in tea crops to remove both narrow and broad leaf weeds.
In non crop area: when weeds are 4-8 leaf stage. Dosage: 0.8-1.2 ltr/acre.
*Always refer to the SDS for detailed information on safety.

Super Swift
Weed are known for providing hosts and vectors for plant pathogens, giving them greater opportunity to infect and degrade the quality of the desired crop. Rice plant in particular has to compete with many weed. They can seriously impact the yield of the crop by creating competition for the resources that a rice plant typically needs, namely: direct sunlight, soil nutrients, water, and (to an extent) space for growth.
Super Swift is a pre-emergence selective herbicide for transplanted rice. Due to its sensitivity towards rice plant, it is very safe for the crop. It helps control grasses, broad leaf weeds and sedges. Due to its EW formulation, there is no photo-toxicity to plant.
Pack sizes: 250ml, 600ml & 3ltr.
Selective herbicide belonging to Chloroacetamide group of herbicides. It spreads easily on plant surface post application. The Chloroacetamide group helps it inhibit the growth of the weed and reduces the process of cell division. Therefore, disrupting the germination of weeds via seeds in the transplanted area. Lack of cell division checks the growth of the plant ultimately killing it. The reduced stress on rice plant actually makes it greener.
Recommendation:
Transplanted Rice: 0-3 days after transplantation
Dosage: 600-750ml per acre in 200ltr water.
Do not flood the field up to 24 hours after application.
*Always refer to the SDS for detailed information on safety.

Swift
Weed have great adaptation to their environments making it difficult for a farmer to get rid of them. Crop protection for Rice requires constant management of weeds. The same is especially true in the early days when the plant is small and needs maximum nutrition. Thumb rule is stronger sapling grow into a stronger plants giving better yield.
Swift is a pre-emergence selective herbicide for paddy in the EC formulation. This Emulsifiable Concentrate is safe for rice crop due to its selective nature. It helps control grasses, broad leaf weeds and sedges.
Pack sizes: 100ml, 250ml, 500ml & 1ltr.
Direct seeded rice or rice under puddled condition: 0-3 days after transplantation
Dosage: 600-750ml per acre in 200ltr water.
Do not flood the field up to 24 hours after application.
*Always refer to the SDS for detailed information on safety.

Super Pendi
Herbicides are used to control weeds which interfere with growth, development, yield and quality of agricultural and horticultural crops by competing on nutrients, water and light. They can however show resistance towards each other creating problems for the farmer. Super Stop contains Pendimethalin which is know for not showing any such resistance and hence can be used with other herbicides easily.
Super Pendi is a selective pre-emergence and pre-plant incorporation herbicide with broad spectrum. It helps control grasses and certain broad leaf weeds by inhibiting cell division and cell elongation. It doesn’t evaporate at high temperatures making it ideal for Indian climate.
Pack sizes: 350ml, 700ml & 3.5ltr.
Herbicide belonging to the Dinitroaniline class. Super Pendi acts both pre-emergence, that is before weed seedlings have emerged, and early post-emergence. By inhibiting root and shoot growth, it controls the weed population and prevents weeds from emerging, particularly during the crucial development phase of the crop. Its primary mode of action is to prevent plant cell division and elongation in susceptible species. It is based on advanced technology due to which the chemical doesn’t evaporate at high temperature. It does not have residual effect i.e. doesn’t affect next crop.
Recommendation:
Major crops: Soybean, Cotton, Chilli, Onion
Dosage: 600-700ml per acre
*Always refer to the SDS for detailed information on safety.

Quit
Weeds are invasive i.e. their rate of reproduction is very high. Hence, they grow more in short period of time becoming a menace for farmers. There are many varieties of herbicides: selective & non selective, pre emergence & post emergence, contact & systemic and so on. It is therefore important to note the time of usage & types of usage before application a herbicide on field.
Quit is a broad spectrum, non-selective contact herbicide. It effectively controls broadleaved weeds & grasses. It is extremely fast being a contact herbicide and hence, the result is fairly visible.
Pack sizes: 250ml, 500ml, 1ltr & 5ltr.
It acts by inhibiting photosynthesis. It accepts electrons from photosystem I and transfers them to molecular oxygen. Thus destructive reactive oxygen species are produced. In forming these reactive oxygen species, the oxidized form of paraquat is regenerated, and is again available to shunt electrons from photosystem I to restart the cycle. Hence, it keeps re-creating itself while destroying the existing weed. This mode of action is what makes it quick-action herbicide. Paraquat, with its distinctive mode of action, can be used to prevent and mitigate problems with weeds that have become resistant to the very widely non-selective herbicides.
Recommendation:
Post emergence (2-3 leaf stage of weeds): Tea, Cotton, Potato, Rubber and Grapes. Pre-plant: Rice, Wheat. Blanket application: Aquatic weeds
Dosage: as per crop. *Always refer to the SDS for detailed information.

Butamix
Weeds are invasive i.e. their rate of reproduction is very high. Hence, they grow more in short period of time becoming a menace for farmers. There are many varieties of herbicides: selective & non selective, pre emergence & post emergence, contact & systemic and so on. It is therefore important to note the time of usage & types of usage before application a herbicide on field.
Butamix is a selective pre-emergent herbicides, widely popular to control most annual grass and some broadleaf weeds through its systemic action. It is applied prior to emergence of weeds or in very early stage post weed-emergence.
Pack sizes: 500ml, 1ltr & 5ltr.
Butamix is a selective, systemic herbicide, primarily absorbed through germinating shoots and secondly by roots. Then translocated throughout the plant, with higher concentrations in the vegetative part rather than reproductive parts.
Butamix shuts down photosynthesis, protein synthesis, RNA synthesis and lipid synthesis which are critically important life processes of the plant.
Recommendation:
Pre emergence: Rice, Barley, Cotton, Peanuts, Sugarbeet, Wheat and several other brassica crops.
Dosage: as per crop.
Please take advantage of the booklet for correct dosage and water ratio.
*Always refer to the SDS for detailed information on safety.

Swiss Thapyr
Weed is generally a plant considered undesirable in a particular situation due to its aggressive growth pattern which inhibits growth of the target crop. Soyabean and Groundnut are target of various weeds in particular.
Swiss Thapyr is early post-emergence herbicide. Its active ingredient inhibits Photosynthesis in the target herb reducing its chances of survival next to zero. It is highly recommended for control of selective broad-leaved, sedges and grassy weeds in Soybean and Groundnut.
Pack sizes: 250ml+188ml, 500ml+375ml & 1000ml+750ml.
Swiss Thapyr is a chemical from Imidazolinone group of herbicides which has both contact and residual action i.e. it is retained by weed plant and inhibits its growth for a long period of time. Upon spray, it is absorbed by the roots as well foliage. Its translocation action helps it reach xylem and phloem where it gets accumulated in the meristematic regions of the plant. This region is responsible for its cell division and growth. By inhibiting Photosynthesis process in growth regions of the plant, it quickly stagnates its development and ultimately kills the weed plant altogether.
Recommendation:
Dosage: Soyabean: 400ml per acre | Groundnut: 400-600ml per acre | Time of Application: When weeds are in 1-2 leaf stage or 7-14 days after sowing.
*Always refer to the SDS for detailed information on safety.

Trophy
Many weeds are structurally close to the target crop. To get rid of them is an especially difficult task. In such cases, special class of chemicals called Selective weedicides are recommended. Wheat can be impacted by various weeds but most harmful of them is Phalaris minor also known as ‘Gully Danda’ is one of the most notorious weed in wheat. It looks exactly like wheat plant but upon full growth does not offer any seeds causing losses.
Trophy is highly selective, post emergence herbicide used in control of Phalaris minor & other grassy and broad leaved weeds in cereal crops mainly wheat. It's high selectivity for wheat makes it highly recommended for use. It's dual action is highly effective & fast acting making it ideal for usage.
Pack sizes: 30gm.
Trophy contains two active ingredients namely Clodinafop and Metribuzin. The herbical combination acts by inhibition of Acetyl COA Carboxylase (ACC) enzyme of the weed and by inhibition of Photosynthetic chetron transport. The most important function of ACC is to provide the malonyl-CoA substrate for the biosynthesis of fatty acids (when the enzyme is active, the product, malonyl-CoA, is produced which is a building block for new fatty acids). Photosynthesis inhibitor stops the conversion of sunlight into chemical energy. Hence, Trophy with it's dual action helps get rid of weeds quickly.
Recommendation:
Dosage: 240 gm per acre with 120ltr of water.
Time of Application: When weeds are in 3-4 leaf stage/35 days after sowing.
*Always refer to the SDS for detailed information on safety.

Swiss Star Super
Weeds have been great irritant to farming since centuries. This need arose requirement for special chemistry & hence weedicides were invented for farmers to maximize their crop production by eliminating or reducing weed populations amongst their crops. Soyabean, Paddy (Transplanted), Black Gram and Cotton can be impacted by various weeds and since these highly sensitive crops need constant eye to keep out the various weeds.
Swiss Star Super is a selective herbicide containing Fenoxaprop-p-ethyl 9.3% w/w. It belongs to Group A of HRAC and primarily inhibits the synthesis of fatty acids hence inhibiting cell growth. It is used to control narrow-leaved weeds of soybean, paddy, black gram and cotton.
Pack sizes: 100ml, 250ml, 500ml, 1000ml.
This chemical has been classified under Group A of Herbicide Resistance Action Committee (HRAC) i.e. their site of action is Acetyl COA Carboxylase (ACCase). It contains Fenoxaprop-p-ethyl as active ingredient which is quickly taken up by the leaves and stems of the grassy weeds. Inhibition of fatty acids synthesis presumably stops the production of Phospholipids used in building new membranes required for cell growth by disturbing cell growth, it quickly stagnates the weed’s development ultimately killing it.
Recommendation:
Dosage: 440 ml in 100-120 ltrs of water per acre | Time of Application: Soyabean, Blackgram: 3-4 leaf stage | Paddy (Transplanted): 2-3 leaf stage | Cotton: 20-25 days after sowing.
*Always refer to the SDS for detailed information on safety.

Fanah
Weeds are unwanted plants growing among wanted crops. They compete with the wanted crop for sunlight, nutrients, water, etc. In order to get rid of weeds, weedicides are used. Transplanted Paddy and Soybean are impacted by various weeds.
Fanah is an herbicide used for selective, systemic and post-emergence control of weeds. It is highly effective weedicide and hence required in very low dosage. It also belongs to Class B of HRAC (Herbicide Resistance Action Committee) and recommended for use against broad-leaved weeds and sedges in Transplanted Paddy and Soybean crops.
Pack sizes: 15gm.
Fanah works at a low dosage of 15 g|acre and effectively controls most major broad-leaved weeds and sedges in Transplanted Paddy and Soybean. It inhibits Acetolactate Synthase (ALS), also known as Acetohydroxyacid Synthase (AHAS) which is a key enzyme in the biosynthesis of the branched-chain amino acids namely isoleucine, leucine, and valine. It results in Plant death from events occurring in response to ALS inhibition and low branched-chain amino acid production.
Recommendation:
Dosage: 9.60 to 15 gm per acre | Time of Application: Transplanted Paddy - 5 to 10 days (spray only once) | Soyabean - 3 to 10 days (spray only once)
*Always refer to the SDS for detailed information on safety.

Weed-Off
Weeds not only compete for nutrients, they have substantial effect on the fibre, texture and over-all quality of the target crop’s fruit. Resistant weeds are a major concern to farmers and hence, overlapping & diverse utilization of weedicides is recommended to counter resistance among weeds. Time of application is hence a major dictator of selection of particular weedicide.
Weed-Off is selective, systemic post-emergence herbicide classified under Aryloxyphenoxy-propionates group. It is used for narrow leaf/ grassy weeds. Its quick absorption formula makes it highly recommendable especially during rainy seasons. Its formula inhibits AC Case, shutting down the regeneration process of the target weed eventually killing it.
Pack sizes: 100ml, 250ml, 500ml, 1000ml.
Weed-Off inhibits the enzyme Acetyl CoA Carboxylase (ACCase), the enzyme catalyzing the first committed step in de novo fatty acid synthesis. Inhibition of fatty acid synthesis presumably blocks the production of phospholids used in building new membrane required for cell growth. Broadleaf species are naturally resistant to cyclohexanedione and aryloxyphenoxy propionate herbicides because of an insensitive ACCase enzyme. Hence, the target crop remains unaffected whereas the weed is killed.
Recommendation:
Dosage: 300 - 400 ml per acre | Time of Application: Soyabean, Cotton, Groundnut, Black Gram: 20 to 25 days after sowing or 2-3 leaf stage | Onion: 30 days after sowing
*Always refer to the SDS for detailed information on safety.

Knockout
Weeds are a major cause of low yield of crops. Typology of weed, target crop & time of application are some of the factors governing selection of weedicide. Wheat, Paddy (Transplanted) and Sugarcane are narrow leaf crops and are impacted by various weeds.
Gripper is a selective; post emergence herbicide belonging to chemical family of Sulfonyl Urea herbicides. It is a systemic compound with foliar and soil activity used to control broad leaf weeds. It showcases residual activity i.e. it is retained by weed plant and inhibits its growth for a long period of time.
Pack sizes: 8gm.
Knockout is an ALS herbicide i.e. it acts as an Acetolactate Synthase (ALS) inhibitor. By hindering the synthesis of branched-chain amino acids namely valine, leucine and isoleucine; it obstructs the weed’s growth ultimately killing it. It has good rain-fastness even after 4 hrs of application. In soil, it sustains for few days only and has half life period with no effect on the following crops. Being a broad leaf weedicide, extreme care must be taken to avoid damage by drift onto broad leaf crops nearby.
Recommendation:
Dosage: 4-8gm per acre | Wheat: 80 days after sowing or 2-4 leaf stage | Paddy (Transplanted): 60 days after sowing or 2-4 leaf stage | Sugarcane: 15 to 10 days after planting.
*Always refer to the SDS for detailed information on safety.

Pentagone
Weeds are a great threat to yield and crops. One of the factors that makes them a big threat is that they can grow anytime during the crop cycle. Phalaris minor: a pernicious weed, which infests several crops during the winter season, particularly the wheat crops in rice–wheat sequence has developed resistance to all major known chemicals.
Pentagone is a selective broad spectrum, pre as well as early post-emergence weedicide which belongs to Triazinone group. It acts on both grasses & broad leaf weeds through roots as well as foliar hence, providing dual effect/ protection. It is a low dosage herbicide used for control of weeds in sugarcane, potato, tomato, soyabean and wheat. It is highly recommended for use against Phalaris minor.
Pack sizes: 100gm, 500gm.
Pentagone belongs to group C1 of HRAC. It inhibits photosynthesis by binding with D1 protein in chloroplast thylakoid membranes. Herbicide binding at this protein location blocks electron transport and stops CO2 fixation and production of ATP and NADPH2 which are all needed for plant growth. Inability to reoxidize QA promotes the formation of triplet state chlorophyll which interacts with round state oxygen to form singlet oxygen initiating a chain reaction of lipid peroxidation. Lipids and proteins are attacked and oxidized, resulting in loss of chlorophyll and carotenoids and in leaky membranes which allow cells and cell organelles to dry and disintegrate rapidly.
Recommendation:
Wheat (Post-emergence), Sugarcane: Dosage(Pre-emergence & Post-emergence), Soyabean(Pre-emergence|).
*Always refer to the SDS for detailed information on safety.

Punch 58
Weeds are invasive herbs which disrupt the growth and yield of crops. One of the most famous weeds even called “the world’s worst weed” is Cyperus Rotundus, it infesting over 50 crops in over 90 countries. It not only competes with crop for ground resources, its roots release substances harmful to the crops. It is also resistant to most herbicides.
Punch 58 is selective, systemic and post-emergence weedicide which belongs to Phenoxycarboxylic group. It is used as wide spectrum weedicide for the control of annual & perennial broad leaf weeds in many crops. Its unique action makes it highly effective especially against Cyperus Rotundus which is one of the toughest weeds to kill.
Pack sizes: 250ml, 400ml, 1000ml, 5000ml.
Punch 58 is rapidly absorbed by leaves and roots of the weed. It quickly penetrates into the plant tissue and causes abnormal biosynthesis of protein. This process results in uncontrolled cell division ultimately harming leaves and killing the target weed. It’s translocation action helps it travel throughout plant & finally accumulating in growing region of the crop where it acts as a growth inhibitor. It is hence a post-emergence herbicide as well finishing annual and perennial broad leaf weeds in wide range of crops.
Recommendation:
Wheat (Post emergence), Sugarcane & Maize (Pre-emergence), Aquatic Weeds (young weeds).
*Always refer to the SDS for detailed information on safety.

Weed plant grows very quickly as compared to crop plant thereby creating a competition not only for nutrients but also sunlight. Maize, Bajra, Sugarcane and Potato can be impacted by various weeds.
Swisszine is a selective, pre and early post-emergence herbicide of Triazine group which contains 50% atrazine. It translocates through xylem of the plant to the growing regions where it inhibits photosynthesis. It can hence be used to control wide range of grasses and broad-leaf weeds in Maize, Bajra, Sugarcane and Potato.
Pack sizes: 500gm, 1000gm.
Swisszine belongs to Chloro-Triazine group and it inhibits Photosynthesis by binding to the QB-Binding niche on the D1 protein of the Photosystem. No photosynthesis means no food for plant. It also inhibits the enzymatic activity which is a measure of the quantity of active enzyme present. Plants contain enzymes which help break down fats etc which it can use to get energy that allows the plant to survive. Low enzyme activity leads to slow growth & slowed function thus enzymes are critical components to support plant growth. Hence, Swisszine is very successful as a herbicide.
Recommendation:
Useful in Maiza/Bajra, Sugarcane & Potato as pre-emergence herbicide.
*Always refer to the SDS for detailed information on safety.

Adda
Weeds affect crop plant not only by competing for nutrients but are also access points for plant pathogens. Weed science comprises of weed ecology (weed biology, dynamics of weed flora & occurrence of invasive weed) and weed management. Weed science investigation management are actually the interactions of many techniques to manage the plant population in an area. Therefore, it has the important role in Plant Protection Science.
Adda is a broad spectrum selective systemic post-emergence herbicide. It belongs to Diphenolic Ether and Aryloxyphenoxy propionate class of herbicide. It is used to control grassy as well as broad-leaf weeds in Soyabean. It is a dual action weedicide with long duration impact.
Pack sizes: 200ml, 400ml, 1000ml.
Adda is a long duration herbicide. It is translocated through growing plants till Xylem and Phloem. The herbical combination acts by inhibition of Acetyl COA Carboxylase (ACCase) enzyme of the weed. The most important function of ACC is to provide the malonyl-CoA substrate for the biosynthesis of fatty acids (it destroys cell membrane resulting in leaky cells). By stopping synthesis of fatty acids, it essentially stops its growth resulting in yellowish & later brown/ dry-up weed.
Recommendation:
Dosage: 400 ml per acre
Time of Application: 15-25 days after sowing when weeds are at 2-4 leaf stage (Broad leaf weed: 3 days, Grasses: 7 days)
*Always refer to the SDS for detailed information on safety.

Direct seeded rice or rice under puddled condition: 0-3 days after transplantation
Dosage: 600-750ml per acre in 200ltr water.
